Zombie Kidz Evolution is a cooperative game that evolves as you play, so it continually changes. Everyone chooses a different avatar in the form of four kids who are saving their school from zombies. It's played in turns, with each player doing three, possibly four different actions. Work together to lock the zombies out and protect the school!
It’s advertised as 7+, 2 to 4 players. A single game goes quick and takes about 5-15 minutes to play.
Our Thoughts:
Though rated 7+, this is an easy game for young kids to play because it is cooperative and you work as a team. My 4yo loves playing this game with his siblings and can easily be guided along.
All of the kids love this one, and they are excited to open up the next envelope to see if their chosen avatar has gained new skills.
Why we love this game : fun theme (if you are ok with comical zombies) that the whole family can play. Plus it is cooperative, so everyone wins or loses as a team, which is helpful if you have kids who struggle with sportsmanship and don’t like losing. You have to work together to beat the game.
Mom Thoughts : fun little game that encourages kids to work together and builds teamwork. I don’t mind playing this one with one of my kids, it plays really quick. Furthermore, the game evolves as you play, but you can go back to simpler versions if you prefer. The only downside is when kids fight over which avatar they want to play, as different avatars have different abilities. This is a Legacy game and we have only opened a handful of envelops so far, so we may revisit this game later when we have played through all envelopes.
Werewolf Thoughts (9 years old) : I think its a fun game, I like coop games and how we work together to beat the game. I also like monsters and there are zombies in this game. It's one I can play with my whole family, sometimes I like to play with just my mom. I like how the game changes too.
Rosie Thoughts (8 years old) : I like that as you keep playing, you get more powers and the game changes. It's fun to play with my family. One of my favorites.
Robot Thoughts (6 years old): I like it when you win, and it's an easy game to win. It's one of my favorite games.
Lizard Thoughts (4 years old) : I like to play that game
Overall Rating: Great Family game for kids of all ages, and a good one for parents too! It has great re-playability and all of the kids love it! If you are ok with Zombie Themes, give this one a look.
Note: We picked this game up on the Clearance Rack at Barnes and Noble, I was looking for a Legacy game to try out that I could play with the kids and this one came highly recommended. It did not disappoint.
